The 100 Day Project

I get so much more done when I have a deadline.
That is exactly why I joined the 100 day project.

The idea is to do one thing for 100 days straight.   You can read more about it [HERE]
Basically you choose an action - something you want to do for 100 days.
I chose #100 Days of Stitching Arts.

For me, this will include the entire process - from choosing fabrics, to designing a project and including process shots as well as my finished projects.

This is turning out to be the "Finish my Works in Progress" as well as "Making things that have been in my head forever" Project!

Day 1 I worked on my Flowering Snowball quilt.

Day 2 was dedicated to finishing a block for the Splendid Sampler Sew Along.
This block is Wishful Garden by Krystine of Pretty By Hand.

Day 3 & 4 was all about finishing my petals pillow.

I used Fat Quarter Shop's Impressions Orange Peel Template.
The edge is finished with a package of purchased bias piping and an envelope back.

And the past few days I created the pattern and sewed up my design ~ "Macaroon Pouch".

I love the shape and have another version on the cutting table!

A new Sewing Studio

Just two weeks ago we moved back into our house after a lengthy remodel.
It has been a long journey ~ three separate moves to various rentals and 13 months of construction.
It is so nice to be home.
We have such incredible memories that were made here.  Getting married in the back yard and bringing home our first son, to name a few.

One of the coolest things about the remodel was carving out an office on the second floor.  It is a small room (about 10 x 11 feet) but it is all mine!
No more sewing on the dining room table.

We requested a vaulted ceiling for the room, which makes it seem incredibly spacious. I plan to outfit the wall with tall bookshelves to house my vast collection of books.

Two bookshelves store my fabric.

There is also plenty of room for Madge who is wearing a peasant blouse I made.
You can find the pattern [HERE]

I love having all the white walls which are perfect for hanging my Works in Progress
as well as taking photos.

I still have lots of organizing to do, but is coming together!
